Gulan are organising an event at the Royal Geographical Society (Thursday 31 October) that sheds light on the culture, history and day-to-day life of an overlooked minority, Christians in Kurdistan.
"A constantly developing situation in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region requires an equally constant and developing vigilance," comments regional expert and Ekklesia associate Dr Harry Hagopian in introducing his latest podcast for the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales.

The performance of the young US State Department spokesperson on BBC Newsnight this evening (27 August) was extremely chilling, not least for the insouciant way in which a series of necessarily probing questions about a military strike on Syria were simply waved away with stock remarks like, "we'll factor that in".
