64 words for Aung San Suu Kyi

A coalition of campaign groups has launched a major new campaign to put pressure on the Burmese Junta to release Aung San Suu Kyi before the Burmese elections.

The campaign is launching today because it’s the day she was supposed to be released from house arrest. The campaign aims to demonstrate the scale of outrage over her continued detention by encouraging people around the world to write a 64 word (or character if Twittering; image; song etc) message that will be delivered on ASSK's 64th birthday on the 19th June. All of these will be linked to and stored here: www.64forSuu.org

You can also send your own 64 word message to johnny.chatterton@burmacampaign.org.uk
