As usual, Ekklesia has a number of associates and friends taking part in the Greenbelt Festival this weekend - including Workshop, the grassroots theological education initiative, and a variety of Christian peace and justice organisations.
The future of fair trade initiatives, switching your money to local and ethical banks, and alternative approaches to business - these have all been looked at in conversations and talks at Just Festival this past month (August 2013), and there is a good deal more coming up in the 'Ethics Before Profit strand of programming.
'Behind closed doors' is one of the five strands of the 2013 Just Festival, incorporating a blend of conversations, drama, talks, art and other performance media to explore the exclusions and marginalisations faced by many people today.
As part of a series of events at Just Festival looking at how to break down barriers and confront bigotry locally and globally, a discussion is taking place tonight (Tuesday 6th August), on tackling sectarianism.
