For fifteen years Iraq has been at the heart of international conflict. Why? What's really going on in this small country in the Gulf?

At the beginning of the Weekend of Services for World Peace and Disarmament, this table talk will explore and expose the truths that lie behind the conflict with Iraq and discuss some Christian responses to it.

Vic Thiessen is director of the London Mennonite Centre, chair of Church & Peace Britain & Ireland and vice-chair of Church & Peace International. He has been closely following events in Iraq since 1990 and has made presentations on Christian responses to the conflict with Iraq in a variety of settings.

The table talk begins with an evening meal, which will be followed by the report on Iraq and discussion.
