Many people are finding it difficult to believe in a God of love and justice, or are having their faith tested in the wake of the Asian tsunami disaster, the Archbishop of Canterbury acknowledged today.

Dr Rowan Williams commented that the ìparalysing magnitudeî of the Boxing Day cataclysm had provoked feelings of outrage and helplessness among many.
