British newspaper journalist Nick Cohen, who has defied allies on the political left with his support for US-led wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, has accused the respected charity Christian Aid of effectively ignoring tyranny.

In his column in todayís Observer, a searing indictment of international collusion with corrupt governments and dictatorships like those of Burma, Cohen accuses the international NGO of indifference to the nature of the ousted Taliban regime.
