Are you considering supporting the work of Cancer Research UK? Why not enter the Race for Life? It has been a the flagship event for cancer research fundraising in the UK since 1994, bringing together thousands of women and men each year to run, jog or walk 5k and raise money to beat cancer.

You can sign up and join the Race for Life here. It doesn’t matter how you do the 5k, just as long as you turn up on the day!

If you’re game for a challenge, you might raise even more money by doubling the distance at selected 10k races throughout the country. Click here to find out where these special races are happening.

Perhaps you would love to support the Race for Life, but are unable to do the 5k? It’s still really easy to get involved: why not consider volunteering on the day as a steward, volunteer or an administrator?

Even if you can’t be there on the day you can still sponsor a friend who is taking part. It’s never been easier to donate safely and quickly online.

It's encouraging to know that the money raised each year is making a big difference to real people all over the country. Since 1994 the death rates for ovarian cancer have dropped by about 10% and cervical cancer deaths have decreased by 40%. Breast cancer has decreased by about a fifth over the past 10 years.
