Arati Hembrom from Bangladesh used to walk three kilometres back and forth to fetch water for her family from the nearest well. And to top it all, the owner of the well demanded an entire day’s pay for her supply.
But since they installed a tube well (or borehole) in her village, Arati has had a reliable supply of clean, safe water available locally.
