Fairtrade herb planter

The Ethical Superstore now stocks these very attractive, very handy, herb-growing plant pots. They are handmade from terracotta and are finished in whitewash. Each pot comes with a matching terracotta tray to protect surfaces, and is available as a larger Herb Planter, or as smaller, individual Herb Pots.

The herb pots are sourced from Jute Works, a charitable trust set up to give employment to the women of war-damaged families in Bangladesh. Not only does Jute Works seek to support these women by supplying work that can be undertaken from home, they also work to ensure that this income can be generated in a sustainable way. In this way the long term socio-economic condition of the women can be altered entirely.
