A new play will open at the National Theatre next month - and you can win two free tickets through Ekklesia.

Love the Sinner by Drew Pautz is the story of an international group of church leaders who converge in an African hotel to contend the need for Christian doctrine to change with the times.

In a neighbouring room, a brief sexual encounter between Joseph, a local porter, and Michael, a British conference volunteer, leads to a direct and potent challenge to both Michael, as he returns to England to grapple with ethics of his own, and to the liberal claims of the affluent West and its church.

Drew Pautz’s provocative new play, which opens on 4th May, asks us to consider what we may be willing to sacrifice, personally and in the public sphere, for what we believe to be right.

If you would like to win two tickets for the performance, email with the subject line: "‘Ekklesia Competition’ and the answer to the following question: "Who is the director of Love the Sinner?"

The winner will be picked at random.

The closing date for entries is Friday 14th May. Tickets are valid for the performance on Thursday 20 May at 7.30pm and are non transferable. The promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal value if necessary
