Reform, the magazine of the United Refored Church will be marking the New Year with the launch of Digest , consisting of four dedicated pages of news from the United Reformed Church. The Digest will comprise a self-contained newsletter-style section within the magazine each month, concentrating exclusively on denominational and local church stories.

Reform editor Kay Parris said: "We have been increasingly aware of an appetite within the URC for 'in house' news that could be of interest to ministers, elders and other active members. Like the flagship publications of the other major denominations, Reform is an outward-looking national magazine. While it covers URC news and features writers coming out of the Reformed tradition, this is as part of a broad mix of commentary and, until now, has not included in-house newsletter-style information. The Digest will give us an opportunity to provide our readers with the different benefits of both formats."

She continued: "This is something that has been quite a long time in the planning and will be a joint venture between Reform and the URC press and media office. We hope we have now come up with a medium that will please a wide range of readers - some will enjoy both the broad commentary of the main magazine and the clubby feel of the newsletter section; others will strongly prefer one section over the other. Our readers will have the choice."
