Clinton: tsunami response will strengthen religious unity -12/01/05

Former US President Bill Clinton has said that the response to the tsunami tragedy in Asia will strengthen religious unity and reduce terrorism. "I am grateful for the opportunity that this terrible tragedy gives for religious reconciliation in the world," he said in an interview yesterday. His comments follow suggestions by Christian commentators [0] that US generosity in the face of the tsunami disaster could signal a move towards a greater peace-making role for the country.
