Saturday at the Festival

Those who follow sports programmes on television will be aware of the advertising ploy that is 'Super Saturday', when broadcast packages are aggregated to entice the viewer into a whole day of watching. Well, I suppose you could say that Saturday 13 August is the equivalent of that at the Festival of Spirituality and Peace in Edinburgh... except without the gauche publicity!

Nonetheless, it's fair to point out that there are a range of high-profile events today, including conversations about holistic healthcare, Ugandan Bishop Senjonyo on human rights and the situation of gay people in Africa, understanding the creation/evolution and science/faith debates... and much more.

Full details of these and other forthcoming attractions over the next fortnight - conversations, workshops, art, performance, exhibitions and family events through to 29 August - are available from the downloadable programme (*.PDF Adobe Acrobat file, below) and also from the blog, which is being updated daily with links, reports, images, stories and more.

There's also material from previous events, such as 'Does Prayer Work?' and 'Squaddies War'.
