Supporters have until 10am tomorrow (1 November 2012) to sign an important petition on the 'government direct' website to stop and review the cuts to benefits and services which are falling disproportionately on disabled people, their carers and families.
"Pat’s petition", as it has become known, was created by Mrs Pat Onions and a group of friends who are all disabled or carers. It has attracted nearly 59,000 signatures and is seeking to push that up to as near the 100,000 mark as possible -- the level needed to trigger consideration of a parliamentary debate.
Please sign here, and ask colleagues and friends to do so: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/20968
Ekklesia is pleased to be one of a range of charities, NGOs and advocacy groups supporting and promoting the petition.
