BBC Radio Scotland international volunteering discussion

BBC Radio Scotland are looking for someone, preferably within reach of their Edinburgh or Glasgow studios, who would be able to share a diverse experience of international volunteering.

Religion and Ethics producer Bronwen Tulloch writes: "We are recording a discussion this Friday morning (7th June 2013) on volunteering abroad. It’s pegged to the fact many students will soon be leaving school and about to embark on a gap year.

"The focus would be to discuss some of the hidden problems with volunteering abroad but also how it can work, and it’s the latter I’m wanting to find someone to talk about.

"A person who’s had experience in positive aid / development who can talk about what made it successful is what we are looking for. If they had experience in more than one area / country, then so much the better, and ideally they should not be a representative of a specific volunteering organisation."

If you fit the bill, live in Scotland or have Scottish links, and would be able to be available for an interview on Friday, please drop a note with your details and contact info directly to bronwen DOT tulloch AT bbc.co.uk (not to Ekklesia).
