Spring into Action - Ekklesia Spring Appeal

By Virginia Moffatt
April 2, 2015

Ekklesia is a small organisation with big ideas. Can you help us spring into action in 2015?

We know you have a lot of calls on your time and money, but if you were able to give even a small donation, it would really assist us in our work.

At present we are currently busy responding to the issues raised by the 'event in democracy' that is the General Election. Our paper 'Vote for what you believe in' sets out the values we believe politicians should aspire to for the election and beyond. We have also published Vaughan Jones' excellent paper on migration, will be publishing papers on housing and welfare, and will continue to comment on all matters relating to the election.

But, we are already thinking beyond the election. Whoever is in government on May 8, Ekklesia will continue to put the arguments against austerity, promote a positive approach to welfare , support the rights of disabled people and promote peace and nonviolence.

In addition, we have ambitious plans to develop our ideas around improving faith schools, looking at ways to maximise the use of church assets, create peace chaplaincies and reimagine Remembrance. We will also be publishing a number of books this year, and have an interesting events programme lined up.

We know there are a lot of calls on your resources, but even the smallest donation can help. If you are able to assist please send your donation, marked "Spring Appeal" to Ekklesia, Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, 235 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2H 8EP or by donating via our Paypal account

Thank you so much for your support!
