‘Setting People Free’ (as part of marking the 200th anniversary of the abolition of slave trading) Exploring the good news of Jesus in three ways:

1. releasing captives
2. challenging oppression
3. celebrating jubilee, especially for people in poverty.

The three themes will form the centre of the work on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be prayerful worship to begin each day; a mix of workshops, seminars and visits, sharing inspiration from local projects in Bristol and around the UK. Each evening in the worship celebration speakers from local projects and internationally known people from around the UK and beyond will bring our ideas together. These include:

George Kavoor, Trinity College, Bristol
Jim Wallis, Sojourner Community, US (tbc)
Kathy Galloway, Iona Community
Richard Reddie, ‘Set All Free’ Project
Monday sees a commission to renewal in our home settings.
