End of our book experiment

Ekklesia has decided to end its experimental affiliate programme with Amazon. The deal allowed the company to trawl our pages and insert book links. In the end we found that it didn't produce a significant amount of income, and some of the links ended up being slightly odd or inappropriate (even 'intelligent web crawlers' aren't that smart!). So we didn't feel it was giving particular value to our readers. The back story is here: http://www.ekklesia.co.uk/node/5348. Naturally we'd continue to encourage you to use our Metanoia bookstore (http://books.ekklesia.co.uk/) and the Eden shop (http://shop.ekklesia.co.uk/) for all your book-buying needs. It helps us, and it channels money into peace and justice causes, too.
