Engaging with religion for building peace: The experience of Iraq and Afghanistan

A One Day Conference which will addresses the complex challenges of building peace in Afghanistan and Iraq through the prism of religion.
The objective of the conference is to draw lessons from building peace in Iraq and Afghanistan, where religion divides as well as binds in social, political, economic, judicial and security relationships, both within their populations and between their own people and those of the intervening force.
The conference will run two panels to explore the interface between religion and peace building, one dealing with Afghanistan and the other Iraq.
