Ethics, Christmas and Ekklesia

The thought that Christmas will soon be upon us strikes dread as well as joy into many people.

To shop, or not, or drop - that, in a phrase, is the dilemma. It will all be upon us soon, and it can be very weary. Well, the bit that's not about friends and thankfulness, anyway. A good 'one stop' place for gifts on the web, if you are planning to go down that route, is the Ethical Superstore, and if you access it via this link, a small cut helps to support Ekklesia too.

Our annual budget for everything (including the expenses+ for the two staff), is less than the salary of one person in most NGOs, so we're living lean. This is a way you can help without really noticing it. (Of course if you wanted to become a partner, that would be the best present of all, for us: http://www.ekklesia.co.uk/about/join )

Also, there's a host of ethical gift ideas in or lifestyle section: http://www.ekklesia.co.uk/lifestyle
However, if you're feeling inclined towards a "No Shopping" Advent and Christmas, we're not going to argue with you. Or say "spare us a dime, guv?" Well, not as blatantly as that, anyway.
