Radio 4 on disestablishment

By Simon Barrow
Created 16/02/2008 - 20:12

Ekklesia co-director Jonathan Bartley will be on BBC Radio 4's Sunday programme tomorrow, some time after 07.45 we believe. The archbishop, the future of the C of E and sharia are in the frame.

Apparently a number of Anglican bishops are concerned that moves to end the prime minister's involvement in key clerical appointments may prefigure a move toward disestablishment. And the Sharia row has not helped. I suspect they will not be using the word "unavoidable". See our report here: http://ekklesia.co.uk/node/6771 [1]

Radio 4 'listen again' online (for a week) is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/progs/listenagain.shtml [2]
