Rights report on Egypt and apostasy

A recent report by the New York-based Human Rights Watch (co-authored with the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights) has highlighted continuing problems around apostasy and civil rights in Egypt.

In spite of the well-known Qur'anic injunction that "there is no compulsion in religion", issues of religious freedom in Muslim-majority states have persisted into the 21st Century. The BBC reports: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/7250532.stm [1]
