Faith and Charity '08

Organised by Faith and Charity '08

Faith and Charity ’08 is the national conference for those involved in faith foundation and faith-based charities. Faith charities face very specific issues in how they fundraise, campaign, recruit and run their organisations.

This one day conference aims to give you an opportunity to debate the big issues, to hear from key sector and government representatives, to take part in issue specific workshops and to network with other delegates. From chief executives and trustees, to frontline workers and senior managers, Faith and Charity ’08 has a day of dynamic learning to offer, while also tackling key overarching national issues.

Key speakers at the conference include Dame Suzie Leather, chair of the Charity Commission, Habib Malik, head of fundraising at Islamic Relief, and Alan Thornton, media manager at Church Action on Poverty. Also speaking are representatives from organisations including the Interfaith Network , the Methodist Association of Youth Clubs, the Muslim Youth Helpline, the Faith Based Regeneration Network, The Salvation Army and Jewish Care.

The conference agenda includes the following practical learning sessions:
