We hear a lot about the 'religious right' in the USA. But what about religious opinion of the centre and left?

The Pew Forum has been studying the issue, and suggests that there may be significant changes in the composition and demography of participation in political issues of people with religious commitments and backgrounds.

"Liberal and progressive religious voices have become increasingly prominent in the 2008 presidential campaign.
