In the week that the Bishop of Durham issued a warning [1] about a lack of ìbiblical literacyî the theology behind the wildly popular "Left Behind" series of Christian apocalyptic novels has come in for a hammering. The Regent Bookstore, one of the biggest Christian book stores in Canada, recently hit the headlines [2] when it refused to stock the final book in the bestselling series - 'The Glorious Appearing'.
