Significantly more voters want a hung parliament (46 per cent) than a Labour (25 per cent) or Conservative (29 per cent) Government.
The findings emerged last night in the ComRes survey  for the Independent on Sunday and Sunday Mirror newspapers.
Which of all these possible outcomes would you personally prefer to see from the forthcoming general election?
Conservative government with an overall majority: 29 per cent.
Conservative government with the support of the Liberal Democrats in a hung parliament: 20 per cent.
Labour government with the support of the Liberal Democrats in a hung parliament: 26 per cent.
Labour government with an overall majority: 25 per cent.
