    Iraq sectarian bombing deaths may be as high as 400

    The devastating multiple bomb attacks against the minority Yazidi community in northern Iraq on 14 August 2007 may have claimed up to 400 lives, the Iraqi interior ministry claimed today - as the grim task of digging out bodies continues. Once again the Kurds and a religious minority are the victims.

    Archbishop condemns European ruling on anti-Catholic football songs

    Catholic Archbishop of Glasgow Mario Conti has criticised European football's governing body, UEFA, for its decision not to fine Rangers fans for anti-Catholic singing during the club's recent Champions League matches against the Spanish club Villareal.
