A range of faith group representatives are attending the 54th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) held at the United Nations HQ in New York.
The campaign group WATCH (Women and the Church) has expressed "deep regret" that there will be no debate on the draft legislation for women bishops at the forthcoming General Synod of the Church of England - its governing body.
The Church of England is still dragging its feet and failing to come into line with laws concerning the equal treatment of women, women within the Church have said.
