Yesterday evening, an ever expanding group of sick and disabled people, carers and families launched an e-petition demanding an independent, cumulative review of the impact of changes to the welfare and benefits system.
Ekklesia is pleased to support the following e-government petition (http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/43154), tabled by Francesca Martinez and WOW (War on Welfare) disability campaigners, calling for a cumulative impact assessment of Welfare Reform and a new deal for disabled people. The wording is as follows. Supporters can click the link below to sign.
On the evening of Tuesday 18 December, the WOW petition was launched. WOW stands for War on Welfare, and behind the petition is a community of sick and disabled people, carers, friends and families, who have come together via social media to start a resistance.
