    Royal Navy's oldest former member is now a pacifist

    The oldest former member of the UK's navy has been described as a “pacifist” by his family. Claude Choules, 109, has refused to mark Armistice Day this week.

    We won't forget you, Harry Patch

    This is the first November since the death of the “last Tommy”, Harry Patch. But Patch regarded Remembrance Day as "just show business". We can honour his memory by recognising that it's time to change the way that we remember.
