The UK-based aid agency Tearfund has welcomed the actions of 86 leading US evangelicals who have formed an Evangelical climate initiative change, breaking with the White House's position on global warming.
Representatives of Christian Aid, CAFOD (the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development) and Tearfund took part in the dramatic launch of a new climate change campaign - Stop Climate Chaos - in central London yesterday.
A unique new coalition launched to fight climate change, and including several Christian agencies, is warning that unless action is taken immediately, human development gains will go 'up in smoke'.
