The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is traditionally celebrated between 18-25 January (in the northern hemisphere) or at Pentecost (in the southern hemisphere) and enters into congregations and parishes all over the world. The theme for the week of prayer in 2014 is "Has Christ been divided?" (1 Corinthians 1.1-17).
The Taize ecumenical community based in France, which has an emphasis on youth and historic Christian spirituality in a changing world, will be holding one of its European weekends in Edinburgh from 15-17 March 2014.
Throughout 2014 the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey will be holding a number of seminars raising awareness on issues related to women’s concerns, justice and peace, ecology and Christian theology, interfaith relations and migrant churches.
It was a real pleasure for me to learn that the WCC 10th General Assembly in Busan, South Korea, elected HH Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians at Holy Etchmiadzin in Armenia, as one of its new co-presidents.
