True power, shown in Christ, brings hope, not fear; light, not darkness. By contrast, we are often made to think of power as overwhelming force, wealth or violence. But the message of the New Testament is that God triumphs through the unexpected gift of life in the face of death (resurrection), not through thekind of earthly power that imposes and subjugates.
