Authors from the Very Short Introductions series are giving short talks and answering questions at Blackwells Bookshop, 53-59 South Bridge, Edinburgh, tonight (Tuesday 20 August starting at 6.00 pm).

We particularly commend Professor Jolyon Mitchell’s Martyrdom: A Very Short Introduction, which you can hear about from 7.00 – 7.25pm.

Jolyon is Professor of Communications, Arts and Religion at the University of Edinburgh, based at New College, and plays a pivotal role in the work of the Centre for Theology and Public Issues (CTPI).

You can also hear Dorothy Crawford on (Viruses: A Very Short Introduction from 6.00 – 6.25pm, and Robert Segal on Myth: A Very Short Introduction from 6.30 – 6.55pm.
