It may not be a swish racer but a bike like this from Christian Aid really helps the people of Malawi. In a land where cars are very rare, a bike is essential in helping the HIV workers of the Likulezi project reach those living in outlying areas.
Likulezi is a project with hundreds of volunteers. It provides home-based care to more than 1,000 seriously ill patients. Each volunteer visits three patients on a weekly basis, helping them with simple, practical care like bathing and feeding. They also carry out domestic tasks like gathering firewood, drawing water, cleaning and washing. Their help is invaluable to those in need. Gifts like this bring support and care to suffering people.
To help make a difference, find out more about this work and give a charity gift, visit the Present Aid website. It’s run by Christian Aid, which works around the globe through local organisations to deliver direct, practical benefits and campaigns to challenge the causes of poverty.
