February is LGTB History Month

LGBT History Month is celebrated in February in the UK. In 2016 the theme is Religion, Belief and Philosophy. 

Ekklesia is making two important contributions to the work of LGBT History Month. At our forthcoming talk, Sex and Sensibility, Peter Tatchell, world-renowned LGBTI advocate and social justice activist and Sally Hitchiner, founder of Diverse Church will be in conversation with Simon Barrow.

Our first publishing project, Savitri Hensman’s Sexuality, Struggle and Saintliness; same sex love and the church is currently available in paperback and e- book.

The work of LGTB HM is  to challenge homophobia, biphobia and transphobia continues throughout the year. Their interactive calendar and for more information is available here.
