Two senior world church officials have urged political leaders across the globe to heed the danger that climate change could pose in triggering disasters like the Asian tsunami, reports Ecumenical News International. "This was a clear warning on what climate change could to do the world," World Council of Churches' general secretary, the Rev Dr Sam Kobia said, referring to the earthquakes and tidal waves in South Asia and parts of Africa which may claim a final death toll in excess of 150,000.
