THERE WILL BE a celebration of the life of the late Bishop Simon Barrington-Ward, including a further book launch for Exchange of Gifts: The Vision of Simon Barrington-Ward (Ekklesia Publishing, 2022) at Coventry Cathedral later this year. It was due to take place on Saturday 17 September, but that has had to be postponed due to the period of morning for the former monarch..
The book, meanwhile, is available from a range of online stockists, in the UK and internationally, here. Copies of the book will be sold before and after the Cathedral service whenever it takes place.
The current Anglican Bishop of Coventry has said of Exchange of Gifts, edited by Graham Kings and Ian Randall: “This wonderful book gathers together the insights of those who knew Simon Barrington-Ward so well and who have captured the heart and essence of this most visionary man.
“Simon’s intellect, humour and sometimes child-like simplicity are brought vividly to life along with his profound faith and trust in God, and I am delighted to commend this book to you from the Diocese that he served so fully as bishop and where he continues to be greatly loved.”
