THE WORLD COUNCIL OF CHURCHES (WCC) is inviting people and churches all over the world to pray, advocate, and stand in solidarity with people in the Holy Land during the World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel, which is being observed from 15-22 September 2022.
This year, the theme is anchored in active hope and in striving for a better future with no occupation. It builds on the theme of the WCC 11th Assembly, “Christ’s love moves the world to reconciliation and unity.”
The theme for the Week in 2022, is ‘Faith, Hope and Love in Action: Towards Justice in Israel Palestine’.
Congregations and individuals around the globe who share the hope of justice shall unite during the week to take peaceful actions, together, to create a common international public witness. Prayers, a video, and feature stories are available for download by WCC member churches and all people of good will.
