WITH Gaza under continual attack and bombardment, the displacement of nearly 90 per cent of the population, and the West Bank living under siege conditions, the Christian communities there have declared the usual Christmas celebrations cancelled.
Instead, the coming of Light and the Prince of Peace into the world, and the call for an end to the killing, will be marked with a Liturgy of Lament on Saturday 23rd December, at 8pm GMT and 6pm Jerusalem time. The preacher will be the Rev Dr Munther Isaac.
