Tomorrow (Sunday 24 March 2013), new associate Keith Hebden, an Anglican priest involved in social justice advocacy and the activist network Christianity Uncut, will be appearing on a range of local BBC radio stations across England (7am – 9am), making the case against the government’s unpaid ‘workfare’ mandatory work placement programme.

Similar issues will be raised (http://www.ekklesia.co.uk/node/18234) by Symon Hill, a Quaker with strong Anabaptist links, and a former Ekklesia director, when he appears on BBC Radio 4’s Sunday programme, also tomorrow morning, around 7.40am.
In addition, Symon will be appearing on the BBC1 ‘Big Questions’ ethical/religious discussion programme discussing the future of secularism. It goes out at 10am on Sunday, and is then available on iPlayer for a week.
On another tack, Ekklesia co-director Jonathan Bartley, will appear on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Beyond Belief’ programme on Monday 25th March, discussing where evangelicalism has come from and where it is going.
His colleague Simon Barrow featured alongside associate the Rev Vaughan Jones (a URC auxiliary minister who heads up the Praxis NGO working with displaced people across London) on a TransWorld Radio look at migration and immigration last weekend, and is also appearing in a discussion about alleged ‘aggressive secularism’.
Simon recently recorded BBC radio and World Service interviews on challenges facing new Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, and is also a regular interviewee on TransWorld Radio, discussing a range of social and economic issues from a Christian viewpoint.
Various Ekklesia associates appear on Premier Christian Radio, and Middle East commentator and Ekklesia associate Dr Harry Hagopian (Armenian Orthodox) carries a wide range of regular media commitments on developments in the MENA region, as well as producing regular podcasts for the Catholic Bishops Conference of England and Wales.
