Our valued associate Dr Harry Hagopian, among other things Ecumenical consultant to the Primate of the Armenian Church in the UK and Ireland, has drawn our attention to the pioneering work of Fr Vazken Movsesian – whose areas of pastoral concern include the media (he is a consummate blogger!) and youth ministry.

Fr Vazken kindly linked our articles on Pope Shenouda III. Since 2005 he has been based at St Peter, Glendale, USA, in the Western Diocese. He was ordained at St James, Los Angeles, and has worked in Pasadena as well as for the Armenian Church’s Department of Youth Ministries.

The Armenian Apostolic Church is part of Oriental Orthodoxy, and is one of the most ancient Christian communities in the world today. The Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church traces its origins to the missions of Apostles Bartholomew and Thaddeus in the 1st century and is an early centre of Christianity. Its official name is the One Holy Universal Apostolic Orthodox Armenian Church.
