“A day taking the hierarchy out of gender” is how our partners the Anabaptist Network and Mennonite Trust (in association with Peace Church and Woodbrooke College) are describing their event on Saturday 26 October 2013 at the International Mission Centre (IMC) in Birmingham.
The official title is ‘Disordering Gender Relationships: Women and Men After Christendom’, and the event marks the publication of an important forthcoming book in the Paternoster Press series After Christendom by Fran Porter.
“In an age of disorganised religion Jesus-followers often find themselves on the margins of society. The Disorganised Religion series of events aims to help us rediscover how we can live distinctively in 21st Century Britain. Join this event with the author of Women and Men After Christendom,” say the organisers.
Ekklesia pioneered the Disorganised Religion series of events with Anabaptist friends last year, including two discussions at the Festival of Spirituality and Peace (now Just Festival) in Edinburgh.
