Hosted by the Iona Community and Fellowship of Reconciliation Scotland, Chris Cole, coordinator of the advocacy and information organisation, Drone Wars UK, is currently on a short Scottish tour, coinciding with Christian Aid Week and the start of the Church of Scotland General Assembly.

Addressing ‘In Drones We Trust’ – What kind of Security? this morning, Chris will consider what we mean by ‘security’ in history, for faith traditions and for today’s world, and reflect on the challenge of current Drones deployment to peacemakers in a complex world.

The meeting is being chaired by Peter Macdonald, leader of the Iona Community at Wellington Church Library, University Avenue, Glasgow.

Last night, Chris, who is a good friend of Ekklesia, was talking at St John’s Episcopal Church in Edinburgh on the theme ‘Drone Wars: Today, Tomorrow, Forever?’.

You can still catch him on Monday 19 May at Coatbridge, St Augustine’s Church, on ‘The Drone Wars’: Afghanistan, Pakistan and Beyond’: Realities, ethics and impacts of drones in today’s world.
