The Festival of Spirituality and Peace, which is now in its thirteenth year, is preparing for a significant facelift and renaming as it announces its 2013 programme next week.
The Festival runs annually in August. In 2012 it featured over 400 events attracting some 25,000 people. This year it will be even bigger.
A regular celebration of culture, faith, philosophy and ideas, the Festival seeks to foster understanding and mutual respect for each other as individuals and as communities on a local and global scale.
It is supported by civic, cultural, charitable, educational and religious communities.
The aim is to create a space for exploration involving people of all faiths and none to explore how we build a better world.
As in previous years, there will be major musical, artistic and performance style events, alongside a lively programme of discussions and talks.
The launch will take place at St John’s Church on the corner of Princes Street and Lothian Road, from 7-9pm on Tuesday 18th June. This is a free event, but it is being ticketed through Eventbrite. You can sign up here: http://just-the-beginning-efbevent.eventbrite.co.uk/
