AfricAvenir and Friends of Namibia are inviting guests to the London Premiere of four Namibian short films which represent and reflect some current challenges and trends facing Namibian society today.


AfricAvenir and Friends of Namibia are inviting guests to the London Premiere of four Namibian short films which represent and reflect some current challenges and trends facing Namibian society today.

They are: “My Beautiful Nightmare”, by Perivi Katjavivi, 12 min, 2012; “Dead River”, by Tim Huebschle, 34 min, 2012; “100 Bucks”, by Oshosheni Hiveluah, 24 min, 2012; and “Try”, by Joel Haikali, 24 min, 2012.

The showing will be followed by a Question & Answer session with Cineast curator and film critic Hans-Christian Mahnke, director of AfricAvenir Windhoek.

The screening takes place on Thursday 12 December 2013, at 7.30pm, at Harecourt (United Reformed Church), 120 St Paul’s Road, Highbury, London N1 2LR.
