A one day conference in Bristol on Saturday 24th March 2012 will explore the distinctive contribution of radical Christian faith to the shaping of a new post-financial crisis economic order.
The keynote speakers are Professor Ulrich Duchrow of Kairos Europa and professor of Systematic Theology at the University of Heidelberg, author of Alternatives to Capitalism and other books, along with Dr Molly Scott Cato, Director of the Cardiff Institute for Co-operative Studies and author of Green Economics.
The Conference Facilitator is Simon Barrow from Edinburgh, Co-director of Ekklesia. The gathering is for anyone who has an interest in the links between faith and economics – including academics, local church leaders, those involved in Christian social enterprises/co-operatives, trade unions, economic justice activists etc.
The event is organised by the ecumenical Churches’ Council for Industry and Social Responsibility, Ekklesia thinktank, and the Anglican Dioceses of Gloucester, Bristol, Bath and Wells, Salisbury, Exeter and Truro.
