The weekly bulletin is on a slightly different schedule because of staff being away or otherwise engaged. You will have got one on Saturday 27 December, and then a Year’s End edition will follow on 31 December.
There will be website updates through to 29 December, but probably fewer between then and 2 January 2015. From 5 January on, our usual service will resume.
On Christmas Day we published ‘How to remember war so as to invest in peace’ (http://www.ekklesia.co.uk/node/21205) to coincide with the centenary of the famous ‘Christmas Truces’, and to tie in with our 2014/15 appeal theme, ‘Christmas truce? help make it permanent’. (http://www.ekklesia.co.uk/node/21032).
If you would still like to contribute, your financial support would be hugely valued.
Finally, thank you to all our associates, consultants, contributors, funders and supporters for all you do for us – including the good people at the Andrews Charitable Trust and Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church.
Though not unaware of the tensions and tragedies in the world, we wish one and all a very happy and peaceful Christmastide and New Year/Hogmanay!
As Jim Wallis has said, “hope is not a feeling, it’s a decision” (http://sojo.net/blogs/2014/12/23/campfires-hope).
