The Religious Roundtable and the Apostolic Congress have launched a grassroots billboard campaign in the USA, to muster opposition against the ìRoadmapî for peace in the Middle East.

The billboards tell people to contact the White House and urge the US President to ìHonor Godís Covenant with Israelî.

Thousands of bumper stickers have also been sent nationwide to communities with the same message.

The billboard campaign quotes from Genesis 35; ìAnd the Lord said to JacobÖ. ëUnto you will I give this land!î .

The groups are opposed to the roadmap because under the agreement Israel would have to withdraw from some of the occupied territories.

The two state solution is therefore seen as contravening their belief that ìIsrael has and always will be a country given by the divine hand of God to the Jewish people”.

“Any Government that would attempt to give away this Holy land that was promised by God will be violating a higher authorityî they say.

Americans for a Safe Israel who are supporting the campaign are also convinced that Israel must retain possession and control of Judea, Samaria, Gaza and the Golan.

ìTo abandon territory won in wars forced on it would make it vulnerable once again to renewed subversion and attack, not only by hostile Arabs in Judea and Samaria but unstable Arab regimeî they said.
