Christian Aid has come up with an eggs-ellent idea this Easter through their Present Aid scheme.
The aim is to help people devastated by the recent floods in Bangladesh get back on their feet – by giving them ducks.
Working with ‘Friends in Village Development’ Present Aid is encouraging people in the UK to buy ducks for local people in Bangladesh so they can sustain themselves through duck farming.
So how about buying your friends and family a gift with a difference this Easter? Why not avoid the chocolate eggs and go for something that actually lays eggs, like the ducks from Present Aid – a gift with real meaning and lasting benefits.
Since the devastating floods in Bangladesh Christian Aid have been working to help local people get back on their feet by giving them ducks. Duck farming gives people self-sufficiency by enabling them to sell the eggs and ducklings at market to supplement their income, plus their eggs are a great source of nutrition.
Just £24 could provide 16 ducks to help secure a poor family’s future, says Christian Aid.
All you have to do is visit the Present Aid web site, choose the ducks, and they will be duly dispatched. A card is then sent with your personalised message to your friend or family member, on whose behalf you are making the gift.
